I've always kind of loved the Bobcat with its upright grille and slightly fancier interior. I briefly had a Bobcat wagon that always got a lot of thumbs up.
And that sports version is pretty killer.
This is the only Pinto-amino I've ever seen. Actually a Bobcat-amino.

I love that you went to the Mercury Version, that always makes me happy.
BUT if anything it would be a Bobcat-chero or Bobcat-ero. The Ranchero was the car/pickup for Ford, el camino was chevy! And besides, the Ford was there first!

Good point! "amino" is just the automatic go-to car-pickup suffix.

I hear you. No one remembers the poor Ranchero

Buddy of mine had one with a V-6 and a manual transmission. Crude, but scary fast :-)

I do. The 70-71 hidden headlight iteration is totally badass.

Was there an equivalent to the Pinto Cruising Wagon?

There was not, no, but it looks like someone made one.
